Voter Identification

Missouri election Laws require that all people show verification of identification.  This is used for comparison purposes when you register to vote and when voting on Election Day.

Your Voter Notification Card or Notification of Election Card are the preferred forms of identification because each contains pertinent information regarding your polling place, political sub-divisions/districts, and precinct, which is necessary information to the judges at the polls.  If you don't have either card, then any other approved identification will be accepted such as:

  •  An ID issued by the state of Missouri including a state agency, a local election authority of  Missouri,  the US government, or an institution of higher education of Missouri
  •  A copy of a current utility bill, bank state, government check, paycheck or other government document with your name and address
  •  A driver's license or state identification card issued by another state
  •  An affidavit signed by you and two supervising election judges, one from each major political party, state that the election judges personally know you.

Notification of Election cards
Election Notice cards are mailed 1-2 weeks before an election.
If you didn't receive your Notification Card you can still vote.  You just need to provide the election judges one of the other approved forms of identification.  See Voter Identification above for that list.
Replacement Voter Notification Cards may be requested by contacting the Election Authority.

Help when voting
Many of the polling locations are handicapped accessible.  Please call the Election Authority if you are unsure about accessibility at your polling place.  Curbside voting assistance is available.  All polling locations will have a touch screen voting machine (AKA DRE) for a physically disabled voter upon request.
